Carta al secretario de la IFSC

Friday, July 17th, 2009

====================================

Dear Mr. Lenselink:

I’m a Peruvian climber and I’m writing to you due to the disappointment that causes to me the naming of Mr. Sandro Garcia, president of the Peruvian Federation of climbing-mountaineering and Winter Sports (FEPADI, by it’s abbreviations in Spanish) like vice-president of the Pan-American consulate of the IFSC.

I have no clue of why Mr. Sandro Garcia proposed to this charge because he has never done anything for the Peruvian climbing. We do not feel represented by him in any way!

I now present some examples of the deficiencies that the FEPADI presents:

· The federation in charge of this person never made any climbing competition. (Every climbing competition made in Peru was made thanks to the efforts of the climbers and the private companies that support us)

· Doesn’t support the Peruvian climbers (Read:http://www.fepadi.org/Atletas.html)

· Doesn’t count with a national ranking.

· Doesn’t count with the infrastructure for the practice of this sport (despite the communicate given in which he speaks of the support that gives the French company Passion Grimpe to the FEPADI. Read:http://www.fepadi. org/Candidatura% 20Olimpica% 20FEPADI. pdf )

· I know that Mr. Sandro Garcia traveled to the European Climbing Championship of Bercy 2008, among other trips, of which nothing positive came out for the Peruvians that dedicate to this sport.

Despite all of this, the Peruvian institute of Sports (IPD) nor us can’t remove him from his charge due to the fact that Mr. Sandro Garcia is a lawyer and uses legal tricks to stay in the charge.

All of this I write in first person, but is the feeling of every Peruvian climber, what we ask is that if Mr. Sandro Garcia is going to continue in the charge he occupies, he must carry put the responsibilities that the charge implies.

Thanks beforehand.
